Galeri Soyut Çankaya is hosting the project titled Frekans, featuring 34 artists with paintings measuring 130x65 cm and 40x40 cm, as well as sculptures in various sizes, on view from December 6 to December 30, 2024.

Although distinct methods exist regarding the presentation of works of art, everyone agrees that the gallery space is the primary one. The gallery is the meeting place with the viewer, who completes the artist-artwork legs of the triad. In this respect, it also stands out as a space that assumes an educational function. The artwork, blended with different styles and varied techniques, initiates the interaction process with the audience here. At the same time, it does not fail to trigger a phenomenon such as enriching the level of appreciation created by the phenomenon originating from diversity. At this point, we must point out a new approach implemented by Galeri Soyut. It is no secret to anyone that the year-end exhibitions, which have now become a tradition, are aimed at realizing the intention of acquiring a work of art, even if on a small scale, for enthusiasts. Moreover, it is clear that dimensions are not the criterion determining the quality of a work of art.

At this stage, we consider it a positive approach that exhibitions consisting of works by numerous artists in sizes complying with certain standards offer rich options for buyers. Galeri Soyut is continuing this tradition with certain modifications by making a leap to a different point this time.

In the project implemented under the title "Frekans", artists will take part with 6 works measuring 40×40 cm and 1 work measuring 130×65 cm. It is possible to explain the rhythmic vibration or regular repetitions implied by the word Frekans, chosen as the project name, through bringing paintings of two different dimensions into integrity within a certain plan. The image that will emerge from the repetition of the arrangement created by each artist within their own works across the exhibition as a whole will reveal a rhythmic structuring under the influence of the group. In a sense, this can be called the richness created by difference within diversity. Let us remind you that along with the exhibition, under the light of this new approach, there is also a different economic application in the context of protecting artist rights.

The exhibition "Frekans" emerges by moving from a traditional art project within the framework of a new thought and understanding. The holistic structuring we encounter here demonstrates a process where quality is elevated rather than contradicted by the multiple appearances it harbors. The enlightening role of art proves its existence once again with the exhibition held in a dark period.
