ZAMANIN İZLERİ

On view at Galeri Soyut Çayyolu from February 9 to March 28, 2025, the exhibition brings together master artists who hold an important place in contemporary Turkish painting and strong names of today.

Time leaves indelible marks on human perception; art makes these marks visible. The "Zamanın İzleri" exhibition brings together moments accumulated in memory, changing spaces, and transformed emotions through the works of master and mid-generation artists of Turkish painting. Building a bridge between the past and the present, this exhibition emphasizes the timeless narrative power of painting while witnessing artists from different generations meeting in a common language.

Galeri Soyut Çayyolu invites art lovers to trace the marks of time with approximately 70 works by doyen artists of art such as Komet, Turan Erol, Adnan Turani, Mustafa Ayaz, Kayıhan Keskinok, Muhsin Kut, Yalçın Gökçebağ, alongside names like Raşit Altun, Kadir Ablak, Mahir Güven, Musa Güney, Hakan Esmer, Ercan Ayçiçek, Orhan Umut, Hakan Eraslan, Osman Akça, and Alea Pınar Du Pre.

In this exhibition, every brushstroke reflects a memory, every color transition a transformation, and every composition the intertwined layers of time. In some works we witness the cycle of nature, while in others we confront the changing dynamics of urban life. Spanning a wide range from figurative narratives to abstract compositions, the artists transform their personal histories and our collective memory into a visual space of memory.

"Zamanın İzleri" takes the viewer on an art journey while also reminding them of art's resistance and permanence against time. Bearing the traces of the past and the present, these works evoke different associations in every viewer while adding new images to our individual and social memory.
