YALÇIN GÖKÇEBAĞ (1944), eserleri Galeri Soyut arşivinde yer alan sanatçılardandır. Galeri Soyut sitesinde sanatçının 14 eseri ve 10 sergisi kayıtlı (eserlerin tarih aralığı 1992–2022). Yalçın Gökçebağ was born in Denizli in 1944. He began his art education in the Department of Painting and Crafts at Gazi Education Institute and subsequently continued his career as a lecturer at Middle East Technical University. During his education and teaching career, he focused his art on nature and pastoral landscapes. While depicting the rural life and natural environments of Anatolia in a warm language in his paintings, he reflects the nature-human relationship in a simple and poetic manner.

Throughout his art career, he has adopted an approach that blends naivety with a modern understanding of painting. His interest in the naive painting style led to a search for simplicity and naturalness in his figurative expressions. In this respect, he is characterized as a "naive painter," yet the artist himself emphasizes that naivety is not a specific school, stating that he creates a deliberate atmosphere of naivety in his works. A pure and clean interpretation is prominent in Gökçebağ's paintings, and a detail-oriented technique stands out in his figures.

Gökçebağ's works have ranked among important examples of Turkish painting and have been featured in numerous exhibitions both at home and abroad. Since the 1970s, he has held exhibitions in art centers such as Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, and London, and his works have received great interest in these exhibitions. He has reached a wide audience of art lovers, particularly through exhibitions held at prestigious galleries such as Vakko Art Gallery and Armoni Art Gallery.

In 2021, the artist was deemed worthy of the honorary award by the Contemporary Arts Foundation (ÇAĞSAV). This award was presented to him for conveying nature and seasonal changes with a unique style, the innovations he brought to landscape painting, and influencing many people with his art. Gökçebağ is among the artists who present the pure relationship between nature and human with a strong narrative, developing a poetic painting language.
