DÖRT ÇİZGİNİN DURAĞINDA

“Dört Çizginin Durağında Desen / Pattern at the Stop of Four Lines” is on view from January 23 – February 4, 2026, bringing together the painting practices of Salih Çakar, Ömer Koçağ, Necmettin Özlü and Sertap Yeğin to address production as a process that extends beyond final images.

In this exhibition, four painters with different artistic approaches make visible the sketches, drafts, surface and color trials, and at times half-finished interventions that accompany the formation of a painting. This approach removes the painting from being a completed result, enabling it to be read as a temporal state of becoming shaped by trial, repetition, hesitation and transformation.

In an environment where technological possibilities accelerate production practices today, the exhibition aims to recall the value of the slow, experience-based and intuitive moments involved in the formation process of painting. The physical contact established by the artist with the canvas, the intuitive knowledge acquired during the process and the pleasure derived from production itself form the fundamental conceptual axis of the exhibition.

In this context, the exhibition space ceases to be merely an area where completed works are presented, transforming into a space of witnessing where thinking, experimentation and a continuous state of becoming are shared. The viewer is invited to directly experience the paths leading to the painting and the human dimensions of production.
