MİNE POYRAZ

MİNE POYRAZ (1972), Galeri Soyut’un temsil ettiği sanatçılardan biridir. Galeri Soyut sitesinde sanatçının 225 eseri ve 34 sergisi kayıtlı (eserlerin tarih aralığı 2016–2026). Mine Poyraz was born in Eskişehir in 1972. After completing her primary and secondary education in Eskişehir, she graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics in 1996. In 1997, she began her Master's Program in the Department of Ceramics at the Anadolu University Institute of Social Sciences, and completed her master's degree in 1999 with her thesis titled "Ceramic Surface Evaluation Openwork Method". Poyraz started her Proficiency in Art education in the Department of Ceramics and Glass Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2012 and completed this education in 2015 with her thesis study titled "Sustainable Design and Sustainability in the Ceramic Tile Sector".

Poyraz began her art career in 1999 as a lecturer in the Department of Ceramics at Dumlupınar University Söğüt Vocational School, and currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Ceramics and Glass Design at Bilecik University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design. Mine Poyraz's interest in ceramic art and the experiences she has gained throughout her academic career have led her to create innovative and sustainable designs in the field of ceramics. Accordingly, her works on ceramic and glass surfaces prioritize the use of sustainable materials and environmental sensitivity in her designs.

Mine Poyraz is an artist recognized in international art circles by participating in various group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Her works prominently feature the openwork technique and sustainable design concepts. The artist has a total of four awards in the field of ceramics, which draw attention as an indicator of her technical skill and creative abilities. To date, Poyraz has held six solo exhibitions, bringing together works that push the boundaries of ceramic art and exhibit innovative approaches with art lovers in these exhibitions.

Mine Poyraz's works aim to create original and aesthetic values by combining traditional ceramic techniques with a contemporary design understanding. The artist places importance on producing environmentally conscious, functional, and aesthetically rich designs in her works. This approach is reflected in both her academic studies and artistic productions, demonstrating Poyraz's leadership on the subject of sustainability in ceramic art.

While continuing her art career and academic studies, Mine Poyraz also develops projects for the future of ceramic art, serving as a source of inspiration for young artists. With her vast knowledge in the field of ceramics and glass design, her innovative approach, and her passion for art, Poyraz maintains her place in the art world as one of Turkey's leading ceramic artists.
