ERDİ KORKMAZ

ERDİ KORKMAZ (1993), eserleri Galeri Soyut arşivinde yer alan sanatçılardandır. Galeri Soyut sitesinde sanatçının 115 eseri ve 28 sergisi kayıtlı (eserlerin tarih aralığı 2015–2026). Erdi Korkmaz was born in Bursa in 1993 and began his artistic journey by graduating from Bursa Zeki Müren Fine Arts High School in 2011. Developing his competence in art education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Korkmaz graduated from this prestigious institution in 2018. The same year, he began his master's degree in the Department of Fine Arts Education at Uludağ University, further deepening his artistic knowledge and technical skills. He completed his master's degree in the Department of Painting and Art Education at Uludağ University in 2022, and the Pedagogical Formation Program at Yıldız Technical University in 2023. In 2024, he began his proficiency in art program at Uludağ University.

Korkmaz's art explores the concepts of timelessness and spacelessness while adhering to the traditional Western painting tradition. In the artist's works, human emotions, memories, and lived experiences are reconstructed in a fantastic world. Korkmaz offers the viewer a unique visual experience by presenting what belongs to this world in a way that simultaneously does not belong to it. Light and the sensation of skin in his paintings occupy the center of the artist's plastic elements and draw the viewer into the depths of the work.

Korkmaz takes his art to a different dimension with the balance he establishes between figurative and abstract elements. While offering emotional intensity and inner depth in his works, he takes the viewer on an intellectual journey. This original approach has enabled him to gain rapid recognition in the art world and led to his works being included in many collections.
