CEVRİYE ÖZGEZER

CEVRİYE ÖZGEZER (1980), eserleri Galeri Soyut arşivinde yer alan sanatçılardandır. Galeri Soyut sitesinde sanatçının 10 eseri ve 1 sergisi kayıtlı (eserlerin tarih aralığı 2025–2025). Born in Hatay / Dörtyol in 1980, Cevriye ÖZGEZER graduated from the Department of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mersin University in 2003, and subsequently received pedagogical formation training at Okan University. She also graduated from the Philosophy Department of Anadolu University in 2013.

Starting her art career in 2002 with the Lions Club Group Sculpture Exhibition and the Çimsa Sculpture Environmental Project in Mersin, ÖZGEZER has held three solo exhibitions. Her works have also been on view at events such as ArtAnkara, ArtContact, Art Nouva, and the Izmir Art Fair.

In her works, the artist focuses on the texture of cities, the warmth of old neighborhoods, and the alienation brought by urbanization. At times, she conveys the warmth of the past through the light seeping from the windows of old houses, while at other times she questions human relationships lost among the shadows of new buildings. Her works serve as both a reminder and a document.
