Yılmaz Aysan was born in Istanbul in 1948. After studying at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul, he began his artistic career. Combining figurative elements with an abstract approach in his paintings, the artist has produced works that particularly reflect the social and individual aspects of humanity. Developing a unique language in his search for color and form, Aysan has participated in exhibitions held in various cities across Turkey since the 1980s.

From time to time, the artist interpreted traditional motifs with a modern approach in his works, becoming one of the prominent figures in contemporary Turkish painting with this aspect. Generally using the oil on canvas technique in his works, Aysan brings the sense of depth to the forefront through figurative abstractions, offering viewers a powerful visual experience.

Having taken part in numerous group exhibitions both domestically and internationally to date, Yilmaz Aysan's works are found in private collections and various art institutions. He continues his artistic life and keeps producing new works.
