Galeri Soyut Çankaya is hosting Orhan Kurmalı's exhibition "Hoş Gör-2". The exhibition is on view in Hall B between February 28 and March 12, 2025.

In the paintings, the passions and obsessions we accumulate in the subconscious, along with the motifs used, add meaning to the artwork. Primary colors stand out in these paintings executed in an expressive style.
I have wanted to depict all the beauties of human life, psychological states, fears, and anxieties with a misen-scène approach.
The artist actually depicts their own life. Hard work and observation have brought these works into being. With your "tolerance" [Hoşgör].
"These anonymous people looked at the person watching them in admiration as if to say, 'Who is this supposed to be...?' I knew these men and women. They were the regulars of the tavern named "Hoşgör", where they met and joked around. Most of the time, they were troubled and thoughtful.
Those who see these paintings might consider Orhan Kurmalı a master caricaturist. But above all, I consider him a creative, master painter."
