Hatice Yaman’s solo exhibition “Çizgiler Arasında / Between the Lines” is on view at Galeri Soyut/Çankaya, Hall A between 09–21 January 2026. The opening of the exhibition will take place with a reception held on Friday, January 09, between 18:00–20:00.
Born in Merzifon, Amasya, Hatice Yaman completed her education at Eskişehir Anadolu Fine Arts High School, Painting Department, and Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts, Ceramics Department. Continuing her professional life as the R&D and Design Manager at NG Kütahya Seramik, the artist simultaneously takes part in personal and international exhibitions. Yaman continues her production in Eskişehir.
“Between the Lines” readdresses the visual and conceptual dialogue established with the artist’s previous exhibition “Hadi Karşıya Geçelim” from a different perspective. In this series, the gaze is directed not from within the action, but from above, from a distant and detached point. The rhythm of daily life is reconstructed on a plane where order and coincidence intersect.
The pedestrian crossing turns into a powerful metaphor in the exhibition, representing how individuality fades within the systematic order. When viewed from above, figures become anonymous, while their shadows carry their invisible weights and existential traces. Thus, the paintings make the tension between movement and order visible through a balanced and rhythmic compositional language.
Hatice Yaman’s exhibition “Between the Lines” focuses not only on crowds, but on the very way of looking. This approach, which places the viewer in the position of both observer and stranger, invites one to rethink human existence within the anonymous flow of urban life.
