OLGU SÜMENGEN BERKER (1978), eserleri Galeri Soyut arşivinde yer alan sanatçılardandır. Galeri Soyut sitesinde sanatçının 23 eseri ve 2 sergisi kayıtlı (eserlerin tarih aralığı 2021–2026). Sitedeki eserlerinde en çok görülen teknikler: stoneware çamur, tornada ve elle şekillendirme, dekal baskı, 1220 °C pişirim, Tornada ve elle şekillendirme, transfer baskı, sıraltı boya ve pigmentler 1220 °C sırlı pişirim, Siyah çamur, elle şekillendirme, dekal baskı, 1240°C. Olgu Sümengen Berker was born in Isparta in 1978. She completed her undergraduate education at Anadolu University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics, and her graduate education in the Department of Ceramics at the same university's Institute of Social Sciences. She received her proficiency in art degree from Hacettepe University Institute of Social Sciences. Between 2002-2004, she worked as an academician with different titles at Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics, and between 2004-2017 at Çankaya University, Department of Common Courses and Department of Interior Architecture. In 2017, she received the title of Associate Professor from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Alongside over 80 group and juried exhibitions she has participated in at home and abroad, she has 12 solo exhibitions and 7 awards. Her works are included in many national and international private and official collections. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, L’Associazione PANDORA ARTISTE CERAMISTE (Pandora Women Ceramic Artists Association), Art Educators Association, and Turkish Ceramics Society. Having held 13 solo exhibitions, the artist currently teaches ceramics and art at the Netherlands, Brunssum NATO Joint Force Headquarters Arts and Craft Center, and continues her artistic work in her own studio in Gangelt, Germany.
