Emrah Emir was born in Çukurova in 1987. Starting his education in Çukurova, Emir completed his schooling there up until high school. In 2009, he was admitted to the Painting Department of Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts. During his undergraduate studies, he focused on Hyperrealism and Contemporary Conceptual Art. The artist's academic research during this period left deep impacts on his art and played a significant role in developing his unique artistic language.

In 2012, he began working on his own artistic theory, which he named the "Theory of Dark Arts." This theory represents an approach aimed at exploring darkness, melancholy, and the depths of the human soul in Emir's artistic practice. In 2013, he proved himself to be a versatile artist by publishing his first novel in the field of literature. Parallel to his artistic works, his novel addressed the complexity and emotional depth of human nature.

After successfully completing his undergraduate education in 2014, he exhibited the first examples of his works within Galeri Soyut in 2015. This exhibition marked an important step in Emir's artistic career and introduced him to a broader audience. In 2016, he began his master's studies in the Painting Department Main Art Branch at Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts, thus further deepening his artistic and academic career.

Emrah Emir works on themes that examine mythology, religion, and human existential struggles in his art. In 2017, he drew attention with his exhibition titled "Kan ve Çikolata" at Galeri Soyut. He continued his artistic journey with his solo exhibitions titled "Tanrılar Divanı" in 2018 and "Cennet Sürgünü" in 2021. In these exhibitions, Emir presented his own artistic vision to the audience by thoroughly handling human history, mythological stories, and divine figures in his works.

The artist's works draw attention with their philosophical depth as much as their visual aesthetics, inviting viewers to think and question. The artist continues his work in his studio in Ankara and continues to hold a unique place in the art world.
